Jo is an exceptional piano teacher. She started teaching my eldest daughter in Year 7 when she was just about ready to give up piano - but since starting lessons with Jo, my daughter is now studying Music for GCSE and is always playing the piano not because she is obliged to practice but because she now absolutely loves to play. She is happiest and most relaxed when playing the piano - this is all down to Jo. She is a teacher that will go above and beyond what is required, striving to get the best of of my daughter and all the time making her feel passionate about playing. My daughter looks forward to her lessons with Jo very much, they are her favourite lesson in the week. Jo is such a talented teacher, she believes in her students so much so that they start to believe in themselves and their confidence soars. She has inspired so much confidence in my daughter. She has taught her to appreciate and play a huge variety of music and also how to write her own compositions which she is loving. Jo is delighted to see her students progress and she inspires them to want to improve and
progress. Practising pieces is no longer a chore under Jo’s supervision - my daughter just wants to play all the time. My youngest is now starting with Jo and I’m so happy that Jo is going to be her first piano teacher as I know how much my youngest will love her lessons just like my eldest has. Jo is not only a fantastic piano teacher but a kind, encouraging, positive person who has three lovely children of her own so Jo likes to see children happy when they learn. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

My 5 year old daughter started playing the violin a few months ago; I have been so impressed by Jo  as a teacher. She has appropriate expectations and when they are met gives genuine praise and encouragement. Her passion for music is palpable. My daughter is also impressed; when crossing the road to our car after her third lesson, she commented ‘I think Mrs Reeves is a very kind person’. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Jo is a superb piano teacher and my son is making quick progress and enjoying the learning. The lessons are fun and relaxed and Jo is so lovely to deal with.

Jo has taught my son for over 6 years. She is a fantastic piano teacher. She is very intuitive, inspiring great loyalty and respect resulting in my son choosing to practice on his own account. Great with my teenage son, she supported and taught him piano throughout stressful academic exams providing a welcome creative
outlet. He avoided exams for years then with her guidance and teaching took Grade 7 in the summer gaining a distinction. We recommend Jo highly for her musical and teaching skills.

I just wanted to say what a fantastic afternoon you organised for all the students on Saturday. It was exciting, creative and the students had SUCH a great time! I have had several emails from parents saying how much the girls enjoyed themselves and how they hope it will encourage the genre at our school. So THANK YOU!! Because not only did you organise the event, you organised us, providing arrangements for our girls so they could fully take part, for which I'm hugely grateful!
We very much aim to keep the vibe flowing! So thank you for these arrangements and we would love to join you next year for what we really hope will become an annual event. 

Jo had an unparalleled dedication to her teaching and her love of music became such an inspiration to me, and so many of my peers. I was also incredibly fortunate that, in addition to being my class music teacher, she was also my piano teacher. She gave her time so freely that the majority of my after-school lessons were a great deal longer than we had paid for. A few years later I achieved a distinction in my grade 8 piano, one of the biggest successes of my life, and I think Jo was even more excited about the result than I was! In the six exciting and formative years that I spent at Putney High with Jo, I learned so much more than books, syllabuses and exams could teach me.

Georgia's self-confidence has improved tremendously and you played no small part in nurturing it. Georgia has told us how inspiring you are as a person and as a teacher. She has spoken of your wonderful rapport and ability to connect with people of all ages, from students to staff. Your positive, hard-working attitude, drive to provide the best education and the way you go above and beyond to accommodate the needs of others
