WMH was founded by Jo Reeves in Spring 2021. Jo is a music teacher and director as well as being an award-winning composer! Jo teaches piano, violin, theory and composition lessons as well as tutoring GCSE/A level Music/song-writing/advanced composition. Jo won Classic FM's carol competition in 2015 judged by Stephen Cleobury (in the picture above) and The Kings Singers. Her winning carol is published by Peters Music. As well as private teaching, Jo directs several different youth ensembles. She also organises music ensembles and events for the patients, staff and families at the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability. playing the piano for Sunday services and other religious festivals, and being involved in many fundraising activities through the year. With the lifting of covid restrictions, WMH and RHN collaborations are opening up. Jo led 3 very successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Pitch Purple, a youth A Cappella group. She has organised and coordinated large-scale workshop days for 100s of students featuring masterclasses from The King's Singers. Royal Hospital for Neurodisability. Wimbledon Music Hub (WMH) is a new centre for music aimed to create opportunities for young musicians, aged 7-16.
WMH Saturday sessions are held at St Mark's Church, Wimbledon (right in the centre of the town, just behind the library). Check out our What's On page to find out what's coming up. Summer Camps are held in West Wimbledon at the Lambton Road Music Centre.

We held a Valentine Celebration of Music to generate a start-up fund for the new hub and are very thankful for the generosity of those who donated to WMH

Alex has a passion for music playing viola, violin, clarinet and saxophone and enjoys trying new instruments too. She studies German and Italian at St Andrews and has in the past enjoyed touring as with her a cappella group and as part of choirs as well as playing for competitions and events with her saxophone quartet and jazz band. She loves helping out with everything from string groups to composition workshops and finds it deeply satisfying to see the progress made by all students involved!

Jessie studied at Oxford University and completed a Masters at Sussex University in Secondary School Music teaching. Jessie has been a regular helper at WMH since its beginning. She is a singer, pianist, song-writing and a cellist. Jessie studied at Oxford University and completed a Masters at Sussex University in Secondary School Music teaching. Jessie directed the Oxford Alternotive a cappella group and since then, Jessie has directed choirs for children and adults, including the Choir with No Name , a charity choir for the Homeless. She is currently a Primary School teacher in London but she comes to Wimbledon at the weekends and she loves to come along to help at WMH when she finds the time!
Luke is a multi-instrumentalist, specialising mainly in keyboard and guitar. He studied Jazz Piano and Music Production at Leeds Conservatoire. Luke is interested in Gospel, Blues, Pop and Rock and teaches in all these disciplines. Luke is also an active trumpeter and a Music Producer. Luke teaches guitar, piano, trumpet and music the

Bethany is also an instrumental teacher, including specialising in music therapy facilitation for young people with autism. Bethy has played a key role in developing WMH and she is very much looking forward to working with WMH members at the holiday music camps!
